“It is health that is real wealth and not pieces of gold and silver.” – Mahatma Gandhi
Food is medicine.
It really is.
Many people have a hard time believing that their lack of motivation, difficulty holding a thought, or constant agitation could be resolved by changing what they eat, getting more sleep, or going for a walk. However, these are some of the key activities that have sustained human-kind since the beginning of time. It’s only been recently that we’ve dramatically shifted away from the ways in which our ancestors used to live and our collective health is struggling because of it.
Our bodies and minds are suffering from a lack of nutrients, an abundance of chemicals, and unrelenting stress and it only makes sense that anxiety and depression are at an all-time high and that children in this generation are not expected to live longer than their parents.
I’ve helped my own children overcome Anxiety, ADD/ADHD, Sensory Processing Disorder, Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, and Seizures by using this same approach and I want to help anyone facing a similar situation to “hit the ground running”, take control of their lives, and operate at their full potential.
It’s not out of reach. I’ve been there. I know.
Feeling better, being happier in our skin, and optimistic about our future is what each of us wants for ourselves and our children. By focusing on nourishing both the body and brain through optimizing digestion, increasing nutrients, and minimizing the things that put stress on the body we can do just that.
how I support my clients
Step No. 1
We begin with your Wellness Evaluation, which lasts an hour and a half. During this time, we will review your Health History, your 3-Day Food Journal, your Nutrition Assessment Questionnaire responses and the results of the hair test that tells us about the mineral levels in your body.
Step No. 2
Next, we will identify and discuss which of your health foundations are showing imbalances and create a plan for addressing these issues. We will have two 30-minute follow-up calls to support your efforts, address any questions you may have, and make any adjustments to the initial recommendations.
Step No. 3
After our initial consultation, you are welcome to simply take the plan we’ve created together and implement it on your own or you can choose to secure a package of sessions for continued support. It’s up to you to set the pace at which you implement the recommended changes.

Answers to Your Questions
What is functional nutrition?
Functional nutrition builds vibrant and long-lasting health by focusing on optimizing the digestive process and eating properly prepared, nutrient-dense, whole-foods within each macro-nutrient category (proteins/carbohydrates/fats).
It’s not based on fad diets or the latest trends but rather, is rooted in the nourishing foods that have sustained human beings throughout history.
Other aspects of our lives such as quality sleep, stress management and increased movement also play a significant role in brain health and we will discuss and devise a plan to address these key factors as well.
How is it different?
This approach gets to the root-cause of dysfunction rather than simply settling for surface-level symptom resolution. By addressing the 5 foundations of health, the body is able to heal and seemingly unrelated symptoms often resolve as a result.
The plan you will receive is uniquely designed to meet your goal(s) and is based on well-designed, up-to-date scientific studies rather than generalized concepts about nutrition created in the 1950’s that haven’t proven to be correct. The recommendations made are based on cutting-edge nutritional science and do not rely on processed, industrialized foods so popular in our current society.
What are the 5 foundations of health?
The 5 foundations of health that we focus first on are:
- Diet and Digestion
- Blood Sugar Control
- Essential Fatty Acids
What kind of recommendation plan will I receive?
You will receive:
- a summary of the findings from all the different information sources you provided me.
- a detailed list of action items that I am suggesting along with explanations as to why they are important so that you will always know “the why” behind the actions you are taking.
- a Symptom Burden Graph which graphically represents the body systems that need support so that we can track your progress over time. (See the FAQ section on the Services page for an example of a Symptom Burden Graph)
- the results of your hair mineral test as well as an HTMA report outlining your mineral status and any heavy metal burden your body may have. (See the FAQ section on the Services page for an example of an HTMA graph)
Do I need to sign up for an extended timeframe?
No. There is no pre-set “package” that you need to commit to ahead of time. This keeps the initial cost down and allows you the time you need to implement the suggested changes at your own pace.
Do you offer a discount if I want to work with you over an extended period of time?
Yes. If you decide that you would like to work together on an ongoing basis you can purchase a package of 4 60 min. follow-on visits at a 10% discount or 8 60 min. follow-on visits at a 15% discount.
